Top 10 Gluten Free Products of 2019

Growing up I used to listen to the Casey Kasum end of the year countdown. It was something we all looked forward to because we wanted to know which song would be number one for that year. For the past 2 years I have held a vote on Facebook regarding your favorite gluten free products. It turns out to be a great resource for so many people who are still very new to the diet. This year we voted in the categories of gluten free bread, pasta, breadcrumbs, pancakes, pizza and flour. Here are the favorites based on all the votes for 2019.

#1 Gluten Free Bread- Canyon Bakehouse

#1 Gluten Free Pasta- Barilla

#1 Gluten Free Breadcrumbs- 4C

#1 Gluten Free Pancakes- Bisquick

# Gluten Free Pizza- Caulipower

#1 Gluten Free Flour- It was a tight race between King Arthur Measure for Measure and Bob’s Red Mill 1:1 but King Arthur won.

Do you agree with these selections? I would love to hear your favorites in the comments below.

Then I take a look at what new products I discovered throughout the year and which of those have become new favorites and staples in my house. So here are my top 10 gluten free products of 2019.

King Arthur’s Measure for Measure Gluten Free Flour– In 2018 I discovered King Arthur’s All Purpose Gluten Free Flour, but I’ve enjoyed using the Measure for Measure since I found it at my local Target store.

Field Roast Chao Cheese (dairy free)- We discovered this eating out. My son loved it first, and kept on requesting that I find it in stores. When I saw it at Whole Foods I began to buy it and it’s been a staple ever since. It’s the closest thing I’ve found to eating Mozzarella cheese (unmelted). When you melt it, it tends to be a little more like provel.

Grab the Gold Peanut Butter Bars– Again, I discovered these at a local juice bar when I was starving on the way to the dentist. I picked one up to keep me satisfied until my appointment was done and was shocked that it was so good. I found them on Amazon.

Jeff Nathan Creations Gluten Free Panko Breadcrumbs– I found these at Whole Foods and they’ve been my go to ever since. I will admit, since I don’t really use Panko style, I put mine in my Vitamix and grind them up into more of a traditional breadcrumb. I love these in my chicken meatballs.

Veggies Made Great Superfood Veggie Cakes– I was introduced to this brand and their muffins in 2018 and the veggie cakes are even better. They are low in calorie and the perfect breakfast. I usually eat two.

Siete Taco Shells (grain free)– For years we have only been able to have soft taco shells (homemade) since my son has a sensitivity to corn. Last year we were able to bring a real taco night back into our dinner rotation thanks to Siete.

Nature’s Way Sambuca’s Elderberry– I’m always looking for ways to keep our family healthy. I’ve bought traditional elderberry tonic in the past but knowing my kids, I wasn’t going to be able to get them to drink this thick dark serum. These chewables are absolutely delicious. They actually ask me to eat more than their dose. Of course, I don’t let them but it’s nice to see them invested in their health.

Katz Powdered Donuts– Yum, yum, yum! I’ve actually seen these for years. Since we’ve been trying out some corn in my son’s diet this past year to see if his symptoms have subsided, I broke down and bought these. Oh wow! These are the best frozen donuts out there. They are also a little bigger than the Kinnickinnicks brand which is nice. The size is more like a traditional donut.

OWYN Protein Shakes– These “Only What You Need” Shakes have changed school mornings for us. My son drinks one of these in the morning and is good to go. They contain 20g of protein and make me feel so much better about his breakfast. This also makes our mornings go so much easier.

Daiya Cutting Board Collection Shreds– This new version of Daiya dairy free cheese is all I buy for melting. It really does melt and has a great flavor.  I buy the cheddar and mozzarella.

Are any of these your favorites? I would love to hear about one of your finds in 2019 in the comments below.
